Select a start date that aligns with your rental reservation. Cancel before the scheduled start date for a full refund. A refund requested after midnight in the time zone of your selected rental state makes the first 24 hours non-refundable.
If you buy coverage but pick up the vehicle later, you remain eligible for a refund if cancellation occurs before the rental start date in your agreement. If you keep the coverage, the first 24 hours begin at the start time on the rental agreement you sign at the counter.
Return early, and unused coverage days that follow the return date are refundable, less a 3.5% merchant processing fee. The return date itself is not refunded. Submit proof of early return by email, including the rental contract and refund receipt from the rental company.
Coverage applies to economy and luxury car rentals for pleasure, insurance replacement, or as an alternative to a personal car insurance policy. Exotic cars, vehicles with nine or more passengers, and vehicles for commercial use, gig work, or rideshare are excluded. Transit and Sprinter vans are excluded. Excluded makes include Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, McLaren, Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, Pagani, Lancia, Maserati, Pininfarina, Koenigsegg, Alfa Romeo, KTM, Ariel, Noble, and Lotus. Two- and three-wheel vehicles, including motorcycles and Slingshots, are excluded.
A police accident or incident report is required for a claim to be processed. For vehicle damage, compensation goes to the rental company or its designated repair facility, less your deductible. For third-party liability, compensation goes to the injured parties or their attorney if directed, less your deductible. For a Personal Effects claim, compensation goes to you directly, with a police report and supporting evidence required.
